The start of the tidy up!

Anyone who knows the Dorothy Elmhirst field or the play area by Meadowbrook will notice that it's not looking its best. We think it's time to start tidying things up.

We don't have much money, so for now it's a case of starting with small steps. Over the coming months we are looking for volunteers to join the Big Tidy up. This doesn't need to be a big commitment - just an hour or maybe more. Any donation of time and energy will be greatly appreciated. The first tidy up took place on Sunday 6th November and our focus was the area around the play equipment. Thanks to the efforts of 12 volunteers there are now no weeds and there is lots of bark to create soft landings for children playing on the climbing frame. Weather permitting the next tidy up will be Sunday 11th December 11am - 1pm.

No skills required - just a bit of enthusiasm! If you have some gardening tools - all the better. We will meet outside Meadowbrook Community Centre.
