Play park and bike track projects

Although the area was already used for recreation, the play park is adjacent to Bidwell Brook and the bike track needed to be sensitive to its woodland setting. Reports were commissioned to look in detail at flood risk, contaminated land, arboriculture and ecology. Independent experts assessed the project, and with a few mitigation measures, gave the go ahead.

We'd like to thank everyone who took part in the many consultations, surveys and questionnaires over the last number of years to get to this point - we are getting ever closer to wonderful play facilities in Dartington for this generation of children and the next.

The play park and bike track are enjoyed by lots of young people, we are delighted to see them get so much use!
